Mesmerising Weekend in Wayanad Hills - Banasurasagar Dam Tour & Meenmutty Waterfalls

The Wuhan Chinese virus pandemic has affected the travel patterns of people. Since the 2019 December Valparai Pollachi Tour, I was also afraid of touring places. The weekend tours are the only refreshing tonic for the minds of people working in IT Companies like me. It recharges the battery of mental health. I visited Wayanad around 2010 (not sure of the date) for the first time. I was traveling with two Irrigation department civil engineers. They were on official duty and I had a mutual friend with them who was a businessman. My intention was to visit the KSRTC office in Sulthan Bathery where my late father worked to get some information. The trip from Nooranad to Bathery was strenuous. We stayed in an Inspection Bungalow at Karapuzha Dam. We didn’t go sightseeing. All I could remember was that we did some shopping and returned. Ever Since that time, the desire to visit Wayanad was burning like a fire deep inside me. Change of Jobs : Relocation from Kochi to Kozhikode Relocating to Ko...

No Country for VUPs

I n India, there are two kinds of citizens, VIPs, and VUPs. VIPs are influential people who rule us directly or indirectly by having a connection with people who have official power. VIPs mostly have money, power, and connections to bend laws. They are the creamy layer and they are rightly called Very Influential or Important People. When VUP people die, due to covid19 & lockdown restrictions, if the number of persons who can attend the funeral is 20, from the 21st person onwards, authorities will slap cases on the relatives of the dead person who is already devastated by the loss. However when a former minister or religious leader dies, because they are VIPs, more than 20 dignitaries attend. VIPs can use curtains in their cars for privacy when courts ban windscreen stickers on car windows. Very Unimportant Persons can pay a fine when demanded by motor vehicle authorities. VIPs can store Ivory tusks of elephants, kill forest animals or drive over homeless people who sleep on the fo...

Why a new blog when I have digital tyke?

I have been blogging through digital tyke for a while. Initially when moving Digital Tyke from Wordpress to Blogger, some posts were killed. Also I had to delete some posts which I wrote emotionally in my 20s. Some posts were even mean to people who I am very much in friendship with now. So they needed to be taken down. Digital Tyke was not a serious venture. It was a place to vent my frustration as well as to share my aspiration. When I am training youngsters to professional blogging, I find it difficult to show myself as an example to them since I have broken all the rules I broke in my own blog. I don't maintain it well. It does not look good. My blog goes silent often. So I decided to a new blog www.maneeshjayachandran.co.in where I will follow most of the rules so that my students could not be misguided.

Shifting Career from Web Design Consultant to Digital Marketing Trainer

Last year was a turning point of my life. I took a hard decision of shifting my career as a Web Design Professional heading Orangis Online founded by me 12 years back to a corporate job as a Digital Marketing Trainer in a private limited company in Kochi. It took me about 8 months of job search to land on a job. In April 2018, I decided to plan to make a shift from the current job since I was doing the same thing over and over again for a decade. Then I got interviewed by a Saudi based company for a position in Bangalore for a good salary. The interview was strenuous and the methods of the recruiter, an Arab gentleman with american accent was also unorthodox. But yet they provided me the offer and just when I was about to join their company and sign the contract, they stopped all communications. After that till October 2018, I practiced visited my office on time and trained myself on working daytime on a schedule. In October 2018, I applied to a Trainer job though I did not had any...
