Recent times were bad for google as we had to see google.co.in not loading up for some time.Also many people were affected when gmail service was affected.Nobody can make a hue and cry over a free service.Google made sure to extend days of the paid Google Apps users to make up for the days they lost due to the outage. Adsense publishers are now getting affected by the global credit crunch as the laid off people stays away from internet and ecommerce stores.This means less conversion happens and lesser number of advertisements.According to sources, eCPM of many publishers had dropped to about 100 to 150 percent their average. My association with Google started some years ago.I used many of their products and still like them even though they gather my personal information, my browsing habits etc for improving their products and for developing stronger marketing and advertising strategies.In 2007, i got signed up as an adsense publisher and now i am getting regular cheques from them. Usually the cheques are sent on the last week of a month.The dates would be like May 25, June 24, August 25, September 26 etc.But in December, the cheques are send on 19th of December.This is because they know that it is going to get delayed due to christmas and new year holidays.So they plan it earlier so that publishers get the cheques on time.Professionalism can be observed in such minute incidents.

For those of you waiting for Cheques from Google Adsense,see the cheque i received last week.For Earnings generated during February 2008, the cheque was dated March 27, 2008.I got it on March 5, 2008.The money is in Indian Rupees and is payable at par at all citibank branches in India.It took 10 days to clear from my local bank.
