Laughter in Government Office: i'm having it

After having the bad experience at the Parakode Block Development Officer's office, i went there again after getting an application letter from my legal advisor. This time i am loaded with all what i am needed to get the certificate.Mr. Thankappan was having a mammoth conference that was going on with him presiding.I waited outside the door.In between he came outside smoking a cigrette and talking on the cell phone.I approached him and apologise for me asking him to be answerable to the public the last day. He replied," you weren't talking like this before...where is your sense of questioning now.........for getting things done at a govt office there is a procedure...........you got to know that ". Me: i know that sir.i shall keep that in mind dealing govt. offices the next time.. Thankappan: "lemme check after the meeting." The meeting ended at 1 pm.I entered his office room asking permission. He asked me again the purpose. This time i showed the ad...

Babus: Are they Public Servant or our Masters?

Like all other blogpost, this post also starts with my apology about me neglecting this blog and not posting anything here lately.Time Management is a difficult thing to do.Here is an update about my fitness plan.I am now irregular in going to gym.My weight is hovering around 78 and 79 kgs.This post is mainly to note a bad experience i had at a government office. The Background Mr. Padmakaran who is a Joint Block Development Officer, working at Parakode owes my father Rs 35000 he has borrowed for personal use.He didn't gave back the money and atlast gave a check to cash. The check got bounced and my dad filed a civil suit in the nearby court hoping this person will give the money back as cases will affect his job and all.But it didn't happen and my father died in a heart arrest in 2008.Then my family was the plaintiff. So we pursued the case so that my father's efforts should not be lost in vain.We won the case in 2009.Now we got to make a...

Maneesh's Tryst with Accidents

I am very thankful to god that he have saved me from many accidents.Every day we hear news of accidents and mishaps.Disasters can struck anywhere anytime to anyone.Lemme remember some important accidents that happened to me. Accident on Cycle I was a slow learner in cycle, scooter and car.I started to learn cycling at the age of ten.I was not successful in cycling well.At the age of 12, i managed to ride a ladies cycle.I was going to my paternal ancestral home from my home one day.The purpose of my visit was to get some milk. There was a cow in my grandfather's home.I was to collect milk for my nuclear family from my grandfather's home. Now on the way to there, there is a home called 'Palavilayil'.It was the house of Babymaman (Uncle Baby) as i called him.He was one of my father's close friends. The road was steep near 'Palavilayil'.Water running during the rainy season through the road made many crest and trough on the roads.Someone kept stones on thos...

My First Wayanad Trip & Other Travel in 2010

Living on the Edge: Well Yes But Don't You Dare Ask Such Rude Question I am interacting and meeting lot of people in my life and hearing a regular question. "Why are you preferring a risky life (way of earning for livelihood)?". When i answer them, i have only 20 seconds, so i answer something. While introspecting myself, i have a much better answer, because i have five minutes to write this blog. The answer could be i love this way of life.I have only one life to live and love and i want to spend it the way my mind tells me to.Today i am a happy man.Doing my job is a real enjoyment to me.I am a person who cannot stand much stress.I am prone to commit mistakes if stretched beyond certain limit.Another thing i have noted is that nothing is permanent in life, there are ups and downs in everyone's life. For every rise, you can expect a fall ahead. Note & Update: When read after 11 years, the above paragraph felt irrelevant. But it is being retained for me to unde...

The Best Teacher

If you are asking me about the best teacher i have met, it will make me think. There are lot of teachers who have taught me over the years different subjects and knowledge.Among them i respect and remember some and i forgot and ignored some. Unknown Kindergarten Teacher I don't know her name. She taught me when i was in LKG and UKG.I remember the classes i studied during the couple of years.I remember about the nap i had in the afternoons. Now i had learning disability problem during those years.I remember clearly me trying hard to write the letter B.I was four years old then.It was not a crime for a four year old for not knowing english alphabets and numbers. My mom had a chat with the teacher. My mom asked the teacher to drop me back to UKG while my friends would be going to the other block in the school (Class I).This teacher replied negative and she told my mom that there is nothing wrong with my brain and she can give special attention.Today i am grateful to that teacher.I know he...

Maruti Astar Buying Experience

My experience in buying automobile products was evident in the purchase of a new car in 2009.The decisions happended so fast.At kayankulam railway station, i found a maruti astar hatchback. It was Sunlight Copper in color.I found it attractive.Couple of weeks later, all of a sudden i thought of buying a new car.My options were........ 1. Chevy Spark 2. Maruti Astar 3. Hyundai i10 4. Hyundai Santro Finally i went for Maruti Astar. Here are the reasons that convinced me to choose a maruti. Maruti cars are comparatively cheaper to maintain.Service stations are everywhere and spares are easily available. Why i bought Astar? Fuel Efficiency of Astar as certified by ARAI is 19.6 kmph . Good performance and interiors. In the interior more space is dedicated to the driver and his fellow passenger. I wanted a small car to move it around in indian roads. I liked the looks of Astar. Most of my usage is in the weekends and 80 percent of the travel with rear seats empty. Since i am working online in ...
