How to Edit Joomla Footer Text?

If you are a person running a site using the open source content management system joomla, you would have noticed the copyright notice on the bottom portion of the page. You are already linking to Joomla showing solidarity in the about us page of your website and if you want to modify the footer text. Here is how it is done.

In Joomla 1.5.7, footer is a module named module 1.5.7.So the developers have made the facility for you to remove it if you do not want that.Go to Extensions --------> Module Manager

If you want to edit the two copyright lines, find en-GB.mod_footer.ini file in languages/en-GB/ directory of your Joomla site.Edit the text FOOTER1 and FOOTER2 to whatever you want to display.

And See the final output , the footer of your joomla site.
